What is the difference between algorithmic and static?

Algorithmic questions: Algorithmic questions are questions that give each student different numbers to help prevent cheating. In addition to each student getting different numbers, students also get different numbers on different attempts.

Static questions: Every student get the same version of the question every time. This is useful if the instructor plans on doing the question in class.
